My path has always been grounded in nature. First as a farmer and horticulturalist for decades, and secondly as a natural health practitioner.
My passion for natural health and nutrition sparked in the '80s, along with a deep belief in the body’s innate ability to heal when it’s truly supported.
I was in my early 40s, juggling a farm and raising a family, when perimenopause just sort of snuck up on me. It was at a time when everyone else’s needs came first, and any thoughts of self-care was almost non-existent.
The changes crept in, irregular periods, hot flushes, and broken sleep, but it was the emotional upheaval that really shook me. The mood swings, the brain fog, feeling like I was losing myself… and the problem was no one was talking about it, nobody told us about this change.
Everything shifted when I met a practitioner who helped me connect the dots between stress, nutrition, and hormones. I realised chronic stress from years of looking after everyone else hadn’t just exhausted me, it amplified my symptoms. Real change came when I supported both my body and mind.
Nutrition and hormonal support brought balance, and counselling helped me finally unpack and make sense of the emotional load I’d carried for years.
That journey transformed me and is the reason I do this work today, supporting, educating and empowering women through their midlife transition. I’m healthier and happier than ever, and passionate about making a difference in women’s health.
You’re not alone in this journey, every symptom, every feeling is valid, and together, we can make this a turning point towards a happy, healthy and fulfilling future.
